Work with me

Draft

When you’re in flow, ideas effortlessly connect in ways that feel magical. But if the work is going badly, the stress and fear are real.

You might scramble to explain your work in progress in hope of validation but meet with glazed expressions.

Doubt creeps in. And your belief in all you’ve painstakingly crafted fractures. Yet you persist, because creative self-expression is your purpose.

You don’t have to go it alone.

“I was on a bit of a downward spiral. Fear of people’s opinions was stopping me from finishing anything. Once I started thinking about my feature script as my project, rather than searching for approval, I actually got it finished. That perfectionism stuff has definitely relaxed and I’m producing a lot more work now. The coaching definitely exceeded my expectations in terms of how much I’ve been able to move on from where I was.”  L – Author and screenwriter

‘… It was so helpful to get to the crux of what is important to me, and gave me some real clarity’ L – Publishing Director

‘So much has changed. I’ve let go of “I’m not good enough” and “I’m not smart.” You helped me trace where those beliefs began, and we worked together to unpick and transform them. I feel ready to take myself, and my ideas, seriously.’ M – Illustrator and production co-ordinator.

Creative coaching conversations are always confidential. They’re also soulful, fun, gently challenging at times, and ultimately transformative. Whether exploring new ideas or clarifying your creative goals, we work with whatever you want to bring. Nothing is too big or too small. Every insight and breakthrough matters.

I provide structure, warmth, lots of space, curiosity and deep listening. This can mean delving quite deeply but always in partnership and in service to you moving towards the goals that matter to you.

Our conversations generally take place over three to five months, with sessions every two weeks, giving you space to reflect, experiment and build lasting change. The number of sessions is guided by what you want to achieve and what’s stopped you getting there alone.

I understand that making this kind of commitment can feel like a risk, so after two sessions, if you aren’t feeling satisfied, your investment is refunded.

Our work will give you the change you came for and often more.

Maybe these situations are holding you back:

Chasing Perfection
Not submitting or committing because your projects don’t reach an impossibly high bar.

The Comparison Trap
Setting your work-in-progress against produced projects and feeling anxious or low despite knowing objectively you’re good.

Burning Out
Pushing beyond exhaustion perhaps because your identity is fused to your work so to rest makes you guilty.
